Organized by University College London and Transport for London, Transit Data 2024—the 9th International Workshop and Symposium on Research and Applications on the Use of Passive Data from Public Transport—is scheduled to take place July 1–4, 2024, in London. The event aims to be an international forum on all aspects of public transportation planning and operations, to present and discuss innovative ways to use data with the goals of improving customer experience and addressing societal and environmental challenges.
On Wednesday, July 3, Xentrans CXO Erika Ehmsen and CTO Alan Rowe will present a session titled Capitol Corridor Tap2Ride, which explores the rollout of contactless fare payments on Amtrak’s Northern California commuter route, the first U.S. intercity passenger rail line to accept riders’ bank cards onboard.
